HERMES

No-migration mode

Try us alongside Booking.com. Without switching anything.

Most channel managers ask you to migrate your inventory and rates over to them — Booking.com locks your Extranet the moment you do. HERMES doesn't. Keep using the OTA panels you already know. We just add a direct-booking site on top and sync the calendars in both directions so the same date can't be sold twice.

5 minutes to a direct-booking site that respects Booking.com

No XML connection, no Extranet lock, no rate migration. Three pastes and you're live.

  1. 1

Paste your OTA iCal URLs into HERMES

Booking.com → Sync Calendars → Export. Copy that URL into your HERMES property settings. Repeat for Airbnb or any other iCal-compatible OTA. We poll those feeds every 15 minutes; whenever an OTA marks a date as booked, your HERMES site closes that date instantly.

  2. 2

Paste OUR iCal URL into each OTA

HERMES gives you a single export URL. Paste it back into Booking.com's Sync Calendars → Import slot, and Airbnb's Calendar Sync. From the moment a guest books direct, the same dates close on every connected OTA within their next poll.

  3. 3

    Take direct bookings

That's it. Your guests book on your HERMES site, BC and Airbnb see the closure automatically. You stay in your existing extranets for rates, photos, restrictions, everything else.

What this is NOT

Honest tradeoffs. If any of these are dealbreakers, you want full-sync mode (Booking.com XML, slower setup, Extranet locks).

  • ~15-minute sync window

OTAs poll our calendar every 15-60 minutes. Between a direct booking landing and Booking.com closing the date there is a small window where, in theory, a BC guest could book the same room. For most properties with 1-3 bookings a day, this is a tiny tail risk. Full XML sync is instant but locks the Extranet.

  • Vacation-rental property types only on Booking.com

Booking.com only exposes iCal for Apartment, Villa, B&B, Aparthotel, and Guest House types. If your listing is typed as Hotel, no-migration mode does not work for BC — but it still works for Airbnb and any other iCal-compatible OTA.

  • Rates stay in the OTA

iCal carries blocked dates, not prices. Set your direct-booking rates in HERMES; your OTA rates stay where they are. If you want HERMES to drive rates everywhere, full-sync mode is the upgrade path.
